The Zoology Department is currently organized into six Divisions: Amphibians and Reptiles, Birds, Fishes, Insects (with arachnids and myriapods), Invertebrates, and Mammals. Each Division has its own collection management staff, maintaining our world-class collections of more than 19.5 million zoological specimens.
