The paleontological collections are among the world's ten largest, including millions of individual fossilized organisms, which have been collected over the last 100 years or so. These collections are a national treasure and an international resource, enticing researchers from all over the world to study them. The meteorite collection, the world's seventh largest, is also widely used by researchers around the world. Other parts of the physical geology collection include minerals and gems.
