The Biodiversity Synthesis Center and the Encyclopedia of Life project are supported by the John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation, the Alfred P. Sloan foundation, The J.B. and M.K. Pritzker Family Foundation, The Harris Family foundation and MaryEllen and Richard Keyser.
The BioSynC facilities occupy a newly renovated 3500 square foot space at the Field Museum. The facilities include a conference room and a seminar room fully equiped with AV and internet as well as offices for staff and visiting scientists.
