"Extreme Life in the Liquid Lakes of Antarctica"

Commemorates Opening of Pritzker Center for Meteoritics and Polar Studies

What:	An international team of scientists will discuss recent discoveries in the lakes of Antarctica. Learn about newly discovered extremeophiles — organisms that survive and thrive in extreme climates. The program will feature never-before-seen underwater film footage. Free with Museum admission. The program celebrates the opening of The Field Museum's Robert A. Pritzker Center for Meteoritics and Polar Studies.
Where:	James Simpson Theatre at The Field Museum 1400 S. Lake Shore Drive, Chicago
When:	Saturday, Apr. 18, 2009 at 1:00 p.m.

Schedule:	1-2:30 p.m. — Welcoming remarks, a brief film, and a panel discussion with scientists 2:30-2:40 p.m. — Question and answer session 2:40-3:15 p.m. — National Science Foundation medals awarded to expedition members and ribbon cutting for Robert A.
