Experience Tut Under The Stars

When Tutankhamun and the Golden Age of the Pharaohs arrives at The Field Museum on May 26, 2006, everyone will clamor to get a glimpse of the legendary King through exquisite artifacts associated with his reign. You can avoid the lines—and the crowds—by viewing the exhibition during one of the Museum's special Tut at Twilight evenings.

Tut at Twilight evenings give visitors an opportunity to explore this glittering exhibition after work, school or their other daytime activities. In addition, admission to the exhibition will be limited to a lower number of visitors than it is during regular Museum hours, 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. This ensures that visitors can linger longer and look more closely at the gorgeous Egyptian artifacts on display. The cost of Tut at Twilight tickets are $50 and they include the King Tut audio tour narrated by Omar Sharif.

Evening visitors can stop in the Museum's Corner Bakery restaurant for dinner or a snack. The King Tut store, located at the exhibition's exit, will remain open for those wishing to take a piece of Tut home with them.

Tut at Twilight evenings will be held on Friday, May 26, Saturday, May 27; Sunday, May 28; and Monday, May 29. In July, they will be held on Saturday, July 1; and Sunday, July 2. In August, the Museum will host "Tut Tuesdays", during which the exhibition will be open late every Tuesday (August 1, 8, 15, 22, 29). In September, Tut at Twilight evenings fall on Friday, September 1; Saturday, September 2; Sunday, September 3; and Monday, September 4. In November there is one evening on Friday, November 24. The Museum's last set of Tut at Twilight evenings will be in December: Tuesday, December 26; Wednesday, December 27; Thursday, December 28; Friday, December 29. Tickets can be purchased by calling The Field Museum's ticket hotline at 866-FIELD-03. Tickets can also be purchased through www.fieldmuseum.org, or at the Museum box office, (312) FIELD-03.

Two free Tut at Twilight tickets are included in the Tut at Twilight Membership package. Call (312) 665-7700 for details on this and other membership packages.
